First off… Happy Bday Cindy!!! This is the best present you have ever given yourself.. 😛
So a couple of days have passed since her arrival, Cindy and I have both lost quite abit of sleep feeding and coaxing her to sleep every night. The first 2 nights have been especially rough with the nurses (2 nights in the hospital for vaginal births are part of the birthing process here in the US) bringing in the baby every 2 hrs for feeding. Thats not the hard part, it was the part trying to stop her from crying and gettting her to latch on to the breast. It was really tough on the both of us .. i guess becos we weren’t really ready for that.
But since then, we have managed to learn her behavioural patterns much better and know how to calm her down and get a better latch onto the breast. Cindy’s Mom has also been a great help preparing our every meal and also taking turns in the day to take care of Layla while one of us sleeps.
Also Thanks to Nick and Ally Bruno for visiting us in the hospital and also for their generous gifts, I know we didn’t want to have anyone come over since Cindy was just alittle shy. But you guys made our evening even brighter that day even though it was interupted by feeding time.
